Modern high efficiency multi bladed 80 mm fan unit.

This lightweight 80 mm fan unit with a carbon fibre shroud is a compact version of the Midi fan and suits all models designed for 80 mm fan units.

It is especially intended to be used in those increasingly popular foam models, supplied by various manufacturers.

The Midi Fan80 evo is usually a "drop in" solution, however, some models like from Freewing or FMS are designed for fans with a mounted intake lip. You can 3D print such a lip from this file: Einlauflippe
However, if you prefer not to print yourself, you can obtain it from us as well.

This particular setup is intended for jets up to about 4.0 kg AUW, and light weight 8s batteries.
It is especially a very leightweight 8s tuning drive for various foam models, originally designed for 6s.

With the ducted fan we provide a set of CNC milled CF mounting brackets.
If needed in your application, you can mount them at the preferred spot. We recommend gluing them with epoxy (UHU endfest or similar).

The fan unit comes completely mounted with a HET 650-58-1760 motor.
The unit is assembled and checked at factory, precision balanced and harmonically tuned.

Battery should be chosen about 15/ - 1/20 of the max current for 4-3 minutes WOT. 30-40 C is appropriate.

Habe diesen Antrieb in meiner Freewing Gripen eingesetzt und die Steigleistung ist um ein vielfaches besser als der Original Antrieb. Der Impeller hat ein schönes Rauschen und die Flugzeit mit 8S 4500mah liegt bei Ca 4,30 Minuten. Hat sich auf jeden fall gelohnt.
